Two international research meetings are coming to Lahore in early 2027, and both have deadlines this month. The Econometric Society's Asia Meeting for the Central, South and West region (CSW-AMES) takes place at LUMS on 14–16 January 2027, and a CIMPA research school in mathematics runs in Lahore from 15 to 26 March 2027. Registration for the CIMPA school closes on 15 November 2026.

CIMPA Research School 2027: symbolic dynamics in Lahore
The school's topic is Symbolic Dynamics in connection with Combinatorics on Words, Number Theory and Geometry. The official page on Lahore College for Women University's website gives the dates as 15–26 March 2027, and the deadline for registration of CIMPA participants as 15 November 2026.
The school includes team research: participants choose one of several small research projects and work in teams of five during the end of the first week and all of the second week.
CIMPA's own listing places the school in Lahore and says there is no registration fee. CIMPA also says only participants from developing countries, as defined by the International Mathematical Union's classification, are eligible for funding, and that applications must be made through its application site. Neither page names the exact venue in Lahore.
Econometric Society Asia Meeting at LUMS
The Econometric Society says CSW-AMES will take place at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) on 14–16 January 2027. The meeting is hosted by CERP and LUMS, in association with Pathways to Development 2027, and a Path2Dev Policy Dialogue follows on 17 January 2027.
Decision notifications and registration open on 2 November 2026. Paper presenters must register by 21 November 2026, and the preliminary programme is due on 1 December 2026. Paper submissions closed on 26 September 2026, so new papers can no longer be submitted. The page does not list registration fees or say whether people who are not presenting a paper can register.
