Allied Bank and Chevening to Fund Two Pakistani Scholars a Year From 2027/28

Allied Bank has announced a partnership with the UK government's Chevening programme that will fund two Pakistani master's students each year for three academic years, starting in 2027/28. The bank says the awards will support fully funded study at UK universities.

The announcement adds funding for future scholars. Chevening's Pakistan page shows that general applications for the 2027/28 cycle are closed. Allied Bank's announcement gives no separate application link or deadline for the partnership awards.

What applicants can do now

If you applied for Chevening for 2027/28, use the programme's published timeline to track the next steps. Chevening says reading committees assess eligible applications through January 2027, with interview shortlisting expected from mid-February and interviews scheduled for March and April. Its general timeline gives 8 July 2027 as the deadline for successful interviewees to submit an unconditional offer from a UK university.

If you missed the current application cycle, follow Chevening's Pakistan page for future announcements. Check course requirements with universities separately, and wait for published instructions before treating the bank partnership as a separate route to apply.
