What is the Oxford Master of Public Policy?

The MPP is taught at Oxford's Blavatnik School of Government. It is a full-time course with an expected length of 12 months, and the expected start date is 27 September 2027. Oxford lists 2 December 2026 as the final application deadline for 2027-28 entry.

Oxford asks for a first-class or strong upper second-class undergraduate degree with honours in any discipline.

How much does the Oxford MPP cost?

Will I be considered for Oxford scholarships?

Oxford expects to offer over 1,200 full or partial graduate scholarships for 2027-28 entry across many courses. If you apply to the MPP by its December deadline and receive a course offer, your application will then be considered for Oxford scholarships. For most of them, Oxford assesses you automatically, without a separate scholarship application.

What do the Cambridge funding deadlines mean?

Cambridge says your funding deadline depends on the course you apply for, so check your own course page for the date that applies to you. For 2027/28 entry the main university funding deadlines are 8 December 2026 and 6 January 2027, and some funders have different deadlines.

To be considered for funding, you must submit your complete application, including references, by 23:59 GMT on the relevant deadline. That is 4:59 am the next morning in Pakistan, so aim to finish on the deadline day itself. Cambridge also says almost all funding is reserved for incoming students, so you should not expect to find funding after your course begins. Most university scholarships and studentships are listed in its Postgraduate Funding Search.

What should I do now?

Ask your referees early, because Cambridge counts references as part of a complete application. For Oxford, apply to the MPP before midday UK time on 2 December. For Cambridge, find your course's funding deadline and submit everything, references included, before it.
